What We Do
Classroom Connections has been developing innovative educational programs across Canada for over 20 years. Our award-winning materials are used in over 80% of schools in Canada and over 95% of users would recommend our programs to others. In addition to classroom-based resources, we have worked extensively over the past 9 years to deliver innovative employability skills training to multi-barriered youth in First Nations communities.
These Change it Up! initiatives have included foundational employment readiness programming in Chipewayan Prairie First Nation and Montana First Nation, as well as an online project, Discovering Strengths, to help remote communities gain access to innovative educational resources and programming (in partnership with Bigstone Cree Nation).

The initiative has expanded to include Change it Up! Entrepreneur in Samson Cree Nation, and Change it Up! Trades, designed to address the significant barriers many Aboriginal youth face when attempting to enter apprenticeship. To increase available support for our entrepreneurs, we created MentorNationTM, an initiative that matches Aboriginal entrepreneurs with business mentors across Canada.
Change it Up! results have been incredible. Retention rates have averaged 88%, with powerful increases in pro-social behavior and significant reductions in at-risk behaviours, resulting in increased employability.
